Parva Farmouse Riverside Guesthouse - Tintern
Parva Farmhouse Riverside Guesthouse is a 17th Century former farmhouse idylically set just 50 yards from the banks of the River Wye (in the picturesque Wye Valley), next to the medieval Church of St. Michael’s and less than a mile from the historic Tintern Abbey.
This small, friendly guesthouse, owned and run by your hosts, Peter & Angela Vrettos, oozes “Olde Worlde” character and comfort in a relaxed and informal atmosphere where you can switch off and put the pressures of your daily routines on hold while you enjoy our unintrusive hospitality and the beautiful surrounding countryside.
Enjoy energetic or casual country/woodland walks, sightseeing in the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean, or just relax and watch the river go by in this “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty”
We are situated on the Wye Valley Path, which passes through the churchyard next door and along the riverbank.
Enjoy a relaxing walk or exercise your dog before or after a hearty homemade meal in our Inglenook Restaurant.
Beautiful warm summer evenings can be enjoyed with a cooling drink on the south facing terrace area, or take a glass or two and sit on the riverbank to watch the swans.
Our eight en-suite bedrooms, situated on 1st and 2nd floors, are individually decorated and furnished to match the character of the farmhouse.
We have 2 twin bedded, 4 double bedded and 2 family rooms, some of which are flexible for twin, double or triple use.
All have r/c flatscreen, digital TV with freeview, clock radio, hair-dryer, tea/coffee making facilities and free, wired, broadband connection.
Most rooms have superb river/valley views.
Sorry we do not take children under 12yrs. old.
By arrangement, small, well behaved dogs are allowed in certain rooms, (small cover charge), and can keep you company in the residents’ lounge before and after dinner.
